Oracle VM is entirely free to download, however, support (which includes upgrades and patches) is an additional optional cost.

Thankfully, the pricing structure is extremely simple, and there are only four choices.

One Year Support Contracts

If you require support for a one year term, then the support option you need will depend on the number of processors (sockets, not cores) in your Oracle VM server:

Oracle VM Premiere Limited 1yr. Support - covers up to two processors per Oracle VM host £396

Oracle VM Premiere Support 1yr. - covers an unlimited number of processors per Oracle VM host £804

If you prefer you can take out a three year support term, this does not return any instant savings, however would protect you from any support price rises if they occurred in the future.

Oracle VM Premiere Limited 3yr. Support - covers up to two processors per Oracle VM host £1188

Oracle VM Premiere 3yr. Support - covers an unlimited number of processors per Oracle VM host £2412

As mentioned previously, Oracle VM support packages are entirely optional but are highly recommended for ’production’ deployments. We think these support packages offer great value for money when comparing the cost of support from competitive platforms from VMWare or Citrix.
