What
What does all this yotta stuff mean anyway?
Just in case you wanted to know...?
When we developed a new hosting methodology, based on clustered SAN technology, the core of our thinking was a needed to build a system which could grow. Not just to keep up - but to get ahead. Way ahead. It was, (and still is!) quite a revolutionary approach to hosting in the datacentre.
In the end, the architecture enabled us to develop systems which could scale across datacentres, across nations, across continents. There is no theoretical limit to the amount of storage the system could serve. Perhaps even up to 'Yottabytes'.
The solution really epitomized what we were all about, and so - that's what's put the 'Yotta' into ACC Yotta.
But if ever you were wondering exactly how much a YottaByte is here you go. I've not met a single person that has known this yet - so it's a a cool factoid to flummox techies with.
