We like to think as AppCheck as a sort of 'job interview' for applications which we take under our wing in our hosting centre. Too many times, we hear of customers that had previously gone to a hosting company, and had been given server specifications with no apparaent thought as to what the servers will actually need, based on the applications actual requirements. And when it all goes wrong, it's the application which gets the blame.

So when we host an application, we like to know as much about it as possible. To do this, we run it through 'AppCheck' our own custom designed suite of application benchmarking tests. This will not only tell us the actual amount of load the application will handle in number of users / page response time, but also importantly it will allow us to tune other aspects of our hosting solution such as the SAN and network acceleration components. So at the end of testing, you get an AppCheck report that shows you how you application sizes up on standard hosting, and then another set of results, showing the huge performance gains made possible by using our systems.

Of course, we share all testing information with you, and perhaps will make recommendations on how to tweak the app to make it natively more efficient on its own.

We regularly perform AppChecks for customers who don't require hosting - and who are just interested for us to take a look 'under the hood' of their 'App.
